Dil Mein Ho Tum from Satyamev Jayate (1987) is one song which is deeply etched in our memory. This was the most romantic song of that year, and Vinod Khanna's handsome looks made every girl go weak in her knees. To top it, there is Bappi Lahiri and S Janaki's vocals, which were simply outstanding.

Amitabh Bachchan and Vinod Khanna's fight sequence in Amar Akbar Anthony (1977) was one of the most memorable ones from the blockbuster film. While Amitabh Bachchan was at his peak and had already began being recognised as the 'angry young man' it was Vinod Khanna who won the fight. People whistled a couple of times when Amitabh Bachchan landed a couple of punches, but Vinod Khanna beat him up mercilessly.

Bambai Se Aaya Mera Dost from Aap Ki Khatir (1977) made Bappi Lahiri an overnight sensation. The song can be heard even today at various parties and gatherings. Vinod Khanna looked dapper in a safari suit and goggles. Did anyone other than Vinod Khanna look better in goggles?

How can one forget the entry scene of Vinod Khanna from Haath Ki Safai (1974). Walking out of a plane, Vinod Khanna was stopped by the customs officer, who strip him full and inspect thoroughly for smuggled diamonds. However, nothing is found. He even gets pissed at the customs officers for wasting his time. Later, when he gets home, he takes off his goggles and slides a portion of it, and drops the diamonds on the table. What a fab scene. Even though Vinod Khanna was not the lead actor in the film, he went on to win the Filmfare Best Supporting actor for it.

Aaj Phir Tumpe Pyar Aaya Hai from Dayavan (1987) makes one wonder how the usually coy Madhuri Dixit agreed to do such a passionate kiss with Khanna. The superstar's performance in was compared to that of Kamal Haasan in Nayakan (1987), and many rooted for VK.

Would you believe it that Vinod Khanna was the villain in Mera Gaon Mera Desh (1971) and yet managed to get more whistles? In fact, he started off as a villain in few of his early films. It was this film which went on to inspire Ramesh Sippy to make Sholay.

Pyar Zingadi Hai from Muqaddar Ka Sikandar (1987) shows how Vinod Khanna was one of the most gracious dancers. He may not have had moves like a Hrithik Roshan, a Shahid Kapoor or a Tiger Shroff, but it was his aura which was so loved in this track, and when he held Rakhee passionately, dancing to the tunes of the song, it was something magical, something so pristine.

The scene where Vinod Khanna, who has been accused of his wife's murder, is running barefoot in the jungle, while police dogs are chasing him, is unforgettable. His expressions of hope and despair are seen so vividly on his face even though he is running almost throughout in the scene.

Lagi Aaj Saawan Ki from Chandni (1989) shows Vinod Khanna sitting by the window and remembering ladylove Sridevi. Despite Rishi Kapoor and Sridevi dancing their hearts out to fast numbers in Chandni, it was Vinod Khanna's song which won many hearts.

Another underrated performance of Vinod Khanna was Inkaar (1978). The scene where Vinod Khanna does a 360 degrees turn and enters into a train to rescue the kidnapped child was simply mindblowing. The way he so stylishly enters the train, which has already started to leave the platform, makes him look unbearably dashing. Wearing goggles again, and as I mentioned before - Goggles never suited anybody better.
